1. What is one song that makes you think of your high school?

Love Song by The Cure

2. What makes the best night out?

My idea of the best night out includes a great sushi dinner followed by music and drinks on the patio, and either dancing or singing karaoke with my husband and good friends.

3. Do you have any random facts that can boggle our minds?

Hmmm. Here are a few random facts. Did you know that you can’t hum and hold your nose at the same time? I bet you just tried ;)

Did you know that armadillos can jump 3ft - 6ft high when they are scared or startled, which usually surprises any predators. Unfortunately, this doesn’t work well when startled by a moving car.

Thanks to 3D printing, NASA can basically email tools to astronauts!

4. If a genie granted you the ability to have an infinite amount of one item, what is it? Can't be time or treasure!

Good question. Can I have an infinite amount of health…and vacation days, please?! OK, that’s two, and I’d appreciate either.

If those don’t qualify as items, I would ask for an infinite amount of real estate! And would settle for an endless supply of peanut M&M’s.

5. What is your favorite part of working at TSTC?

My favorite part of working at TSTC is being part of a team that consistently serves others through excellence, accountability, integrity and service. As we fulfill our mission to Place More Texans in Great Paying Jobs, we are positively changing the lives and futures of individuals, families, communities, and the economy. As the saying goes “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” We are making a difference and we are having fun doing it!

6. What are two things you are excited about in Central Texas manufacturing?

I am excited about the increasing number and diversity of career opportunities in Central Texas in manufacturing and skilled trades. The growth of these high-demand, high-skill, high-paying jobs highlights the importance and viability of skilled trade education and careers. I love that more people are becoming interested, excited, educated, and focused on manufacturing in our region!

I am also excited about new and growing opportunities for collaboration among key stakeholders in business, higher education, the public sector, associations, and organizations to ensure that we can sustain and grow the highly trained workforce necessary to support the manufacturing needs in Central Texas. We are better together!
