1. Do you have any creative outlets or interests?

Absolutely! Writing and singing are my main creative endeavors, but I dabble in others, such as knitting.

2. What’s on your wish-list of things you’ve always wanted to try or learn?

I want to try glassblowing. Hopefully this year I can participate in one of the Christmas ornament glassblowing classes.

3. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a career in manufacturing?

I love the challenge and variety of working in research and development. It is a very exciting moment when you learn something you worked on is going forward to product.

4. What is one thing you can’t live without (besides your phone)?

Family, in which I include furry family and close friends.

5. What three words would a friend use to describe you?

Ebullient, creative, and analytical

6. What industry changes or trends do you think will have the biggest impact?

The increasing number of sensors in all sectors of the manufacturing industry is creating tantalizing opportunities for more precisely controlled processes and results. It is my hope that this new data also increases awareness of environmental impact and inspires new, more sustainable processes.
