Organization Overview

In 1965, Texas State Technical College (TSTC) was founded to meet the evolving workforce needs of the state. As the only statewide technical college in Texas, TSTC exists to place more Texans in great-paying jobs. Education Code Title 3. Higher Education Chapter 135 Sec. 135.01

As the workforce college of Texas, TSTC provides technical training in high-demand fields. With over 7,500 industry partnerships within the state, graduates can expect to find meaningful employment. But the impact doesn’t end there. Every new job has a ripple effect, changing the lives of students, their families, and the State of Texas.

As the only higher education institution funded 100% by outcomes, TSTC is held accountable by the state for job placement and wages. TSTC does not get paid unless our students get well-paying jobs. This unique return-value funding model incentivizes the college to provide employers with highly skilled workers to meet their demands.

TSTC is the only state-supported multiple-campus technical college in Texas. We are helping Texas meet the high-tech challenges of today’s global economy in partnership with business and industry. We place MORE Texans in higher-paying jobs!
