Samsung Austin Semiconductor is one of the world’s most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities and in its 30th year, it has become a cornerstone of Central Texas, driving job growth, economic development and community enrichment while playing a pivotal role in the U.S. semiconductor supply chain.

Since 1996, Samsung Austin Semiconductor has invested $18 billion in operating two fabs at the Austin campus, making it one of the largest direct foreign investments in United States history. The Austin campus has 2.76 million square feet of floor space and encompasses more than 600 acres of land. Samsung Austin Semiconductor’s 1,200-acre Taylor campus—with 4 million square feet of site improvements—is the newest addition to Samsung’s Global Foundry business in Texas.
