Cybersecurity Workshop

June 13, 2018 -

In response to escalating attacks on several ARMA members, we have invited a top official from the Department of Commerce to join us for a special presentation and workshop on Cybersecurity with the hope that you keep your facility safe from threats. The average cost a manufacturer pays to overcome a data breach is $38,000 and according to NIST over 55% of small business will experience a breach or a cyberattack. The first part of the workshop will provide an overview of best practices, including understanding threats, protective actions, and recovery. The second half of the morning will be more technical, specifically geared for those that are interested in implementing a robust deterrent systems, and manufacturers that supply the Department of Defense, GSA or NASA which are required to be compliant DFAR SP800-171. Please note: in conjunction with TMAC, participants of this workshop that are defense suppliers could be eligible to receive grant-funded consulting to review and implement the requirements (Inquire if interested).
